I spent this weekend in the stunning Lake District.
I'd planned this trip for a couple of months and checking the weather report the day before I headed out there showed good weather.
When I arrived I was greeted to rain, strong winds and lots and lots of cloud and grey skies.
This shot was taken on the second day of the trip, and 10 minutes before this was taken the rain was torrential. I had sat in my car for about an hour waiting for it to stop. I had given up switched on the ignition and started to move out when suddenly the rain just stopped and spots of sunlight started to push through the cloud.
With a hurry I scrambled to this spot and fired off a bunch of shots before the rain started again.
All around the heavy rain had created rivers and streams, the sound of rushing water was almost deafening as it made it's way down the valley.
This is one of the most awe inspiring places I have visited, and I can't wait to go back there again.
